There are a few options for transferring your audio Cassette tapes. I play all cassettes in real time through professional studio equipment onto my PC, and from there I enhance the sound and boost the volume up to the highest optimum levels.
The original audio becomes a .WAV file which is the highest quality possible, and is burned to a CD in that form. A CD can play approx. 75min of music.
The .WAV file can also be formatted to a high quality .mp3 file which can be used for playing on devices which play MP3 (PC, Iphones, Ipads, etc..). A CD can store about 300min of mp3 DATA, which can be imported to your computer. Some devices these days can actually play CD's with mp3 data on them.
